Roti named Best Indian Speciality Restaurant at the Scottish Restaurant Awards 2008
Edinburgh based chef Tony Singh, is proud to announce that his restaurant Roti has taken the title of Best Indian Speciality Restaurant at the Scottish Restaurant Awards 2008.
Indian restaurant, Roti, has taken this highly sought after title in the Customer’s Speciality Restaurant category, competing against reputable establishments such as Edinburgh’s Calvary Club and Mother India, Glasgow. At home in Edinburgh’s financial and cultural district, on Morrison Street, Roti, is commited to serving the best Scottish meat, game and fish produce, freshly produced using innovative Indian recipies and contemporary presentation. Roti has set itself apart from any other Indian establishements in Scotland
Roti also introduced the casual eating concept ‘Tiffin’ to Edinburgh. These tapas-style menus have the same ethos of quality-led ingredients with a home-cooked style, using secret family recipes, adding a twist to the traditional Tiffin boxes that are used all over India.
The 2008 Scottish Restaurant Awards nominations have recognised the creativity, outstanding customer service and top quality dining that is on offer throughout Scotland lies at the heart of these highly sought after awards. Nominations from restaurants, customers and suppliers to the trade were pulled together and announced at a glittering award ceremony on Monday 28th January 2008 in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
